Why does my heart go on beating?
I stumbled upon the answer to a question regarding the captioned song and felt the need to post this correction. The song, actually entitled “THE END OF THE WORLD”, was originally sung by Skeeter Davis in 1963 and was written by Arthur Kent, who died recently. The Carpenters’ version was but one of the many covers of this classic.
