Where can I buy quality furniture-grade hardwoods in Seattle?
I’m looking for a lumber dealer that sells good hardwood suitable for making fine furniture. Ideally I’d like a good selection of the basics (cherry, soft and hard maple, white and red oak, walnut, cedar, etc) as well as a good range of exotics (the last project I worked on was a dovetailed box in guatambu). I know there are some fantastic Woodworkers up here in the Northwest, but I haven’t been able to locate a good source of wood.

If that doesn’t work out, you might also talk to Jim Newsom of Urban Hardwoods. They gather wood from trees in the city and turn it into lumber and fine furniture, but I have found in my neck of the woods that sometimes such companies have bits and pieces left over from bigger jobs.
